Okay, so I’ve been playing League of Legends for, like, forever, and every year I get hyped for the Valentine’s Day skins. This year, I decided to actually keep track of how I snagged them all, ’cause why not? Sharing is caring, right?
Getting Hyped and Planning
First things first, I scoured the internet for any leaks or announcements. You know, gotta stay ahead of the game. I checked the official League of Legends website, and some fan-made forums. Once the skins were officially revealed, I made a list of the ones I absolutely had to have.
The Grind Begins
Then came the real work. I knew I needed a ton of Riot Points (RP). I normally have some saved up, but for Valentine’s day, I knew I’d want them all. I decided to get some RP top up for the event.
- I logged into my League of Legends account.
- I went to store and purchased the RP bundle.
- I double-checked my RP balance to make sure everything went through smoothly. It did, phew!
Show Time!
Once the skins dropped in the shop, it was go-time. One by one, I went through and bought each skin on my list. It’s always so satisfying to see them pop up in my collection.
The feeling is like getting a super rare item.
Showing Off the New Skins
Of course, I couldn’t just buy the skins and not use them! I jumped into some games to show off my new, sweet, and thematically-appropriate looks. Played some custom games and then flexed my new skins to random players.
The happy emotes are great, and I do feel some joy when using them.
That’s pretty much it! It’s a yearly ritual for me, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite parts of playing League. Hope you guys get the chance to get these lovely skins as well!
