Alright, so I wanted to play Pokemon Omega Ruby online, you know, battle and trade with other people. I thought it would be easy, but it took a bit of figuring out. Here’s how I did it.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed my 3DS, of course, and my copy of Omega Ruby. Gotta have those! I made sure my 3DS was charged – wouldn’t want it dying mid-battle. Then, I connected to the internet. My home Wi-Fi is pretty reliable, so I just used that.
Connecting to the Internet
Connecting was easy. I just went to the System Settings on my 3DS, tapped on “Internet Settings,” and then “Connection Settings.” I selected my Wi-Fi network, put in the password, and boom, connected! I tested the connection just to be sure, and it worked perfectly.
Using the PSS
Now for the online part. Inside Omega Ruby, there’s this thing called the Player Search System, or PSS. It’s on the bottom screen. I tapped the blue button at the top to connect to the internet within the game. It took a few seconds, but then I saw a bunch of other players pop up!
Battling and Trading
Once I was connected, I could see friends who were online, and also random people. I tapped on a few names and challenged them to battles. Some were really tough! I also tried trading. I put up a Pokemon I didn’t really need, and someone offered me something cool in return. It was pretty awesome.

Seriously it takes a little to connect sometime. But it is fun to play with others!
