Alright, folks, gather ’round! Today, I’m gonna share my little adventure diving deep into “Dead Space” to hunt down those sneaky hidden trophies. I ain’t no pro gamer, just a regular dude who loves a good challenge, and boy, was this a ride!
First thing I did was fire up the game, obviously. I’d already beaten it once, so I was somewhat familiar with the layout. But these hidden trophies? They’re a whole different beast. I knew I needed a plan, so I did what any sensible person would do – I googled it! I found a few guides, but most were kinda vague, so I just decided to wing it and document my own messy process.

My Trophy Hunt Begins
- “There’s Always Peng!” – This was the first one I went after. It sounds easy, it says to find the peng treasure. I was like find the treasure, I can do that. I went and searched for some information on the net. I found some video that showed me the spot in chapter 11. I followed every instruction to the letter and finally find it. Man, that was a good start!
- “Front Toward Enemy”– I thought I am very good at game, so I try the impossible difficulty first. I found that Impossible difficulty is locked. I have to beat the game in hard difficulty to get the “Marksman” trophy. This unlocks impossible difficulty. Ok, I switch to hard difficulty and beat the game. Then I replay the game in impossible difficulty. There is only one save slot. Make it count. I survived the whole game with just one save and get the “Untouchable” trophy. Then I go back to new game plus mode. This is where I got the Front Toward Enemy trophy. I just need to beat the game with the ‘Plasma Cutter’ weapon, that’s all.
- “Z-Baller”, “Elevate your Senses”, “Merchant” and “Autopsy”-For this, I decided to tackle them one by one, but I quickly realized some were easier to grab during certain chapters. So, I started jumping around, using my previous save files. “Z-Baller”, for example, I got that one pretty early on, just playing around in zero-G basketball. I just played six full rounds of zero-G basketball. Easy! “Elevate your Senses”, I was confused first, but actually just need to get to the ADS cannon. I did it eventually. And “Merchant”, I had to sell like a hoarder to get that one. It turned out I only need to collect all the weapons to get the “Merchant” trophy, no need to sell. I feel like a fool! Then I followed the guide and got the “Autopsy” trophy. I think that is the last of the hidden trophy I got.
My biggest piece of advice? Save often, and in different slots! Don’t be like me, relying on one save and nearly messing up my entire run. Also, explore every nook and cranny. These trophies are hidden, so they ain’t gonna jump out at ya.
Anyway, that’s my story. It was frustrating, exhilarating, and ultimately, pretty darn satisfying. If I, a totally average gamer, can do it, so can you! Go get those trophies, and remember to have fun (and maybe a little bit of rage) along the way!
