Okay, so today I decided to dive into this “Witches Festival Ghost Netch” thing in Elder Scrolls Online. I’d heard some chatter about it, figured I’d see what the fuss was about. I started by checking, as the Witches Festival event was going on, cool, my timing’s good!
First things first, I needed to get that event quest. I launched the game, log in, and headed straight to the Crown Store. Grabbed the free “Crow Caller” item, No prob, used it, and poof, the quest “The Witchmother’s Bargain” popped up.
I followed, it wants me to go find this Witchmother Olyve or something. She was in that starter town, not too hard to find, she’s at the festival area near the big cauldron. Talked to her, and boom, quest started. She told me to get some stuff, like a pumpkin, some guts, and essence, easy peasy right?
Finding the Ingredients:
- Pumpkin: Went to a farm nearby, found a bunch. Smashed a couple, got my pumpkin.
- Guts: Killed some wolves, creepy crawlies, whatever. Got those guts pretty quick.
- Essence: This one was trickier. I had to kill a boss, so I went to a world boss, joined a group, and bam, we killed it. Got my Essence of Death.
I go back to the Witchmother, hand over the goods, and she gives me this whistle. Blew the whistle, and poof, a big cauldron appears. She tells me to toss everything in, and I did, the next thing I know, I’ve got this Witchmother’s Brew buff.
Chasing the Ghost Netch
Then I get the buff, and I’m supposed to find this Ghost Netch, right? Okay. I popped the brew and started running around, looking for this thing. It’s supposed to appear only when you have the buff active, and it’s pretty random where it shows up, the same place the normal one.
I check the map. Go to the location. I see it!!! It’s big, it’s ghostly, it’s… well, it’s a Netch, but see-through. The Ghost Netch spawns, and just stand there.
I didn’t do anything for a long while.
