Okay, here’s my blog post about Julian Alvarez in FIFA 24, written from a personal, hands-on perspective:
So, I’ve been messing around with FIFA 24, and I gotta talk about Julian Alvarez. This guy…man. I decided to really dig into his stats and see what he’s all about in this year’s game.

Getting Started
First thing I did was fire up the game and head straight to the player edit mode. I wanted to see his base stats, you know, before any career mode upgrades or Ultimate Team boosts. I scrolled through Manchester City’s roster and found him.
Diving into the Stats
What jumped out at me immediately? His pace. It’s pretty good, not like, Mbappe-level, but solid enough to make runs in behind. Then I looked at his shooting. Again, decent, but he isn’t going to blast them in from 30 yards, you know what i mean?
Here’s a quick rundown of what I remember noticing:
- Pace: respectable,he is not the slowest.
- Shooting: Decent, but needs to be in good situation.
- Passing: pretty average.
- Dribbling: This is where he feels pretty good, agile and quick on the turn.
- Defending: Not his strong suit, obviously.
- Physicality: Not a powerhouse, but he can hold his own.
Testing Him Out in Matches
Then put the guy to a match.
Then came the real test – I played a few matches with Man City, using him both as a striker and a winger. I wanted to see how he actually felt in the game, not just look at numbers.
As a striker, he’s good at making those little darting runs. His dribbling helps him get out of tight spots, but you gotta be careful not to get muscled off the ball. On the wing, he can cut inside pretty effectively, but I found his crossing to be a bit inconsistent. It’s fine, just not amazing.
My Overall Impression
So, after playing a bunch of games and really focusing on Alvarez, here’s my take: He’s a fun player to use. He’s not going to dominate every game, but he’s got that spark, that bit of unpredictability that makes him enjoyable. He’s definitely someone I’d consider using in a Career Mode, especially if I’m looking for a young player to develop.
He’s that kind of player who can surprise you. One minute he might fluff a simple pass, the next he’ll pull off a brilliant piece of skill. That’s Julian Alvarez in FIFA 24 for me – a mixed bag, but definitely worth checking out.
