Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Astra, trying to figure out who’s actually good and who’s just…meh. I decided to make my own little tier list, just for fun, and I figured I’d share my process and what I came up with.
Getting Started: The Initial Grind
First, I played a ton of matches. Like, a LOT. I wanted to get a feel for each character, not just in theory, but in actual combat. I tried out different team comps, different strategies, just to see how everyone performed in various situations.

I started taking notes. Nothing fancy, just a simple text file where I jotted down my thoughts on each character. Who felt strong? Who felt weak? Who was fun to play? Who was frustrating? It was all pretty subjective at this point, just based on my gut feeling.
Sorting Things Out: Building the Tiers
After I felt like I had a decent grasp on everyone, I started to organize my notes. I decided to use the classic S, A, B, C, D tier system. Seems pretty standard, right?
- S-Tier: These are the characters I felt were consistently powerful, the ones I’d always want on my team.
- A-Tier: Really good, solid picks, but maybe not quite as consistently dominant as the S-tier.
- B-Tier: Decent. They have their uses, but they might be a bit more situational or require more specific team comps.
- C-Tier: Underwhelming. They might have a niche, but generally, I felt there were better options.
- D-Tier: Just…no. I struggled to find a good use for these characters.
The Iteration Process: Refining the List
Once I had my initial tiers, I went back and played some more. This time, I was specifically looking to see if my initial impressions held up. Did a character I placed in B-tier actually feel more like a C-tier? Did someone I put in A-tier deserve to be bumped up to S?
I also talked to some other players, got their opinions, and watched some high-level gameplay. It’s always good to get different perspectives, right? You might see something you missed.
It wasn’t a perfect science, of course. A lot of it still came down to personal preference and playstyle. But I feel like I ended up with a pretty solid list that reflects my experiences with the game.
My Conclusion
The tier list will differ from user to * don’t take this list as a final answer, you should create your own tier list. But at least from my experiences, I made my own tier list.
