Okay, so I’ve been seeing these Squishmallows pop up everywhere, and some of the limited editions are super cute. I decided I wanted to try preordering one, so here’s how that whole adventure went down.
The Hunt Begins
First, I had to figure out where to even preorder these things. I started with some general searching.

I quickly learned that different retailers do preorders at different times, and some are way more organized than others. It’s kind of a mess, to be honest.
My Preorder Process
I started with a place that, and I’m not going to say their name, I’ll only tell you that it had a limited-edition Squishmallow I really, really wanted. The website said preorders opened at a specific time, so I made sure I was ready.
- Set an Alarm: I set, like, three alarms. I was NOT missing this.
- Made an Account: I made sure I had an account on the website and was already logged in. Every second counts!
- Payment Ready: I had my payment info all typed out in a note on my phone so I could just copy and paste it.
When the time came, I refreshed the page… and refreshed… and refreshed. It felt like forever, but finally, the “Preorder” button appeared! I clicked it so fast!
Then the website crashed. Seriously. It just froze. I panicked a little, not gonna lie.
I kept refreshing, and after a few agonizing minutes, I got to the checkout page. I pasted in my payment info, clicked “Submit,” and held my breath.
Success! I got a confirmation email! I actually managed to snag the Squishmallow I wanted!
Lessons Learned
Preordering these things is NO JOKE. Here’s what I took away from the experience:
- Be Prepared: Seriously, have everything ready to go before the preorder opens.
- Be Patient: Websites are probably going to crash. Just keep trying.
- Be Persistent: Don’t give up easily! If you miss the first wave, keep checking back.
- Join the Community: Find out where other fans are getting their info.
It was a bit stressful, but honestly, the thrill of actually getting the preorder was pretty awesome. Now I just have to wait for it to actually arrive! I’m so stoked.
