Okay, so I was super hyped to jump back into Fortnite today, like always. But, as usual, the game was down. I was like, “Dang it, another downtime!” I really wanted to get some games in, you know?
Figuring Out the Downtime
So, first thing I did was jump online to see what was up. I figured it was probably scheduled maintenance, because that’s usually the deal. And yep, sure enough, it was.
- Checked the usual spots: I looked around on some forums and social media to find the latest news. The game’s official channels are usually a good place to start for updates.
- Found the reason: It turned out they were launching the new Fortnite OG Season 2. That’s a pretty big update, so downtime is expected.
Waiting it Out
Knowing it was a planned update made me feel a bit better. Those usually don’t last too long. From what I could gather, it was probably going to be down for just a few hours, at most.
So I just grabbed a snack, chilled for a bit, and kept an eye on things. I set a timer on my phone just to know how long.
Back in Action!
After waiting a few hours for the maintenance, I could get back in game again. It was all updated and new.
So yeah, that’s my little Fortnite downtime adventure for today. Just a normal part of the game, I guess!
