Alright, so I finally got around to tackling the “white scales” thing in Dragonflight. I’d seen some buzz about it online, and honestly, I just wanted my dragon to look a little different, you know? Stand out from the crowd a bit.
First, I scoured the forums. Lots of mixed info, some people saying it was super easy, others saying it was a pain. Classic internet. I finally found a couple of decent guides, but even those were a little vague on some points.

Getting Started:
- I flew all over the place, that’s for sure. The main thing I needed was from a item, I found them finally.
- Then, I found out I needed a bunch of other stuff. Like, seriously, a LOT of stuff. It was all stuff I’d mostly ignored before.
I spent a good few hours just flying around, gathering. Honestly, it was kinda relaxing, in a weird way. Just me, my dragon, and the scenery. I put on some music and just cruised.
The Real Grind:
Then came the crafting part. I messed up the first couple of attempts, wasted some mats, and had to go back and get more. That was frustrating, ngl. I even almost gave up, thinking it wasn’t worth the effort. But I’m stubborn, so I pushed through.
I finally figured out the trick, that you have to put this one thing with other thing, I was facepalming myself. After that, it was smooth sailing, relatively speaking.
Showtime!
Finally, I had everything I needed. I went back to that first item location, clicked on the item, and boom! White scales! My dragon looked awesome. Totally worth the grind, in the end.
It wasn’t super difficult, just…time-consuming. If you’re thinking about doing it, just be prepared to dedicate a good chunk of time to it. And don’t be afraid to ask for help if you get stuck. There are some good folks out there willing to lend a hand. Don’t be a stranger from the games community!
