Okay, so I’ve been playing League of Legends for, like, years. And I’ve always wondered, “Man, how much money have I actually sunk into this game?” It’s one of those things you kinda don’t want to know, but also really want to know, you feel me?
So, I finally decided to bite the bullet and figure it out. First, I logged into my League account. Pretty standard stuff, nothing exciting there. Then, I started digging around in the client, looking for some kind of purchase history. It felt like searching for buried treasure, honestly.
Finding purchase history
After poking around in settings and generally feeling lost, I did what any reasonable person would do: I used the search function. That helped. After I search with keyword, I finally found my purchase history. There it was, staring me in the face. A long, long list of every skin, champion, and whatever else I’d ever bought.
Now, I’m not gonna lie, seeing all those transactions lined up was a little… intimidating. It was like looking at my bank statement after a particularly rough month. But I’d come this far, so I wasn’t about to back down.
I started manually adding everything up. Yeah, I know, super tedious. I considered trying to copy and paste the data into a spreadsheet, but it looked like a jumbled mess, and I wasn’t in the mood for that kind of headache. So, pen, paper, and calculator it was.
- First few purchases: Mostly smaller stuff, a few skins for champions I really liked.
- Middle stretch: This is where things got a little… out of control. Lots of impulse buys, event passes, you name it.
- Recent purchases: More restrained. I’ve gotten better at controlling myself… mostly.
After what felt like an eternity of adding and double-checking, I finally had a total. And… well, let’s just say it was more than I expected. A lot more. I’m not going to share the exact number, because, honestly, it’s a little embarrassing. But let’s just say it’s enough to buy a pretty decent used car.
So, yeah, that’s my story. I spent way too much money on League of Legends. Do I regret it? Kinda. Would I do it again? Probably. It’s a fun game, and I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. But maybe, just maybe, I’ll try to be a little more careful with my wallet in the future.
