Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Teamfight Tactics (TFT) lately, and let me tell you, those Little Legends are adorable. I wanted to see if I could make some of my own, just for fun, you know? So I dove in headfirst.
Getting Started
First, I needed a basic idea. I mean, there are tons of these little guys already, so I wanted something a little different. I started sketching out some random shapes – blobs, mostly – on a piece of paper. No real plan, just letting my hand do whatever.

Next I drew some shapes that lookes like animals on a blank paper with a pen.
Scribbles and Shapes
- One looked kinda like a grumpy cat.
- Another one was… well, I’m not sure what it was. A potato with wings?
- But then I drew this one blob that had potential. It was round, with tiny little stubby legs.
I decided to go with the round blob. It seemed the easiest to start with. I wanted to keep it simple, since I’m, you know, not exactly a professional artist here.
Colors and Features
I grabbed some colored pencils – yup, good old-fashioned colored pencils – and started thinking about colors. I figured a nice, bright blue would be good. Made it look kinda… watery? I don’t know, I just liked the blue.
Then came the eyes. Big, round eyes. Made it look super innocent. Which, knowing TFT, is probably the opposite of what it would actually be in-game. I added a tiny little smile, too. Just a little curve. Gotta keep it cute, right?
Giving it Legs (and Arms?)
The stubby legs were tricky. I erased them, like, five times. They kept looking like weird little nubs. Finally, I got them to a point where they looked… okay. Not great, but okay.
Then I thought, “Does it need arms?” I drew some tiny little arms. Nope. Erased those. Looked better without them. More streamlined, you know?
The Final Touch
I added a little, tiny crown on its head. Because, why not? Every Little Legend needs a bit of flair. It was a super simple crown, just a few triangles, really. But it made a difference. Made it look a bit more… regal, I guess.
And there it was! My very own, super basic, Little Legend * is far from perfect, but it is my work. It’s not going to win any awards, but hey, I made it! It was a fun little experiment, and honestly, I might try making some more. Maybe I’ll even give that winged potato another shot…
