Okay, so I decided to tackle the trophies for MLB The Show 24. I’d heard it could be a bit of a grind, but I’m a completionist at heart, so I dove right in.
Starting My Journey
First, I familiarized myself with the trophy list. I went through each one, getting a feel for what I was in for. Some seemed pretty straightforward, like winning a game or hitting a home run. Others, though, looked like they’d take some serious time and effort.

Focusing on the Easy Wins
I started with the low-hanging fruit. I played some exhibition games, trying to knock out the basic trophies. You know, things like “hit a double” or “strike out a batter”. These were good for getting my feet wet and building some confidence.
- Won my first game – check!
- Hit a home run – boom!
- Struck out the side – felt good!
Tackling Game Modes
Next, I began exploring the different game modes. I knew there were trophies tied to Road to the Show, Diamond Dynasty, and Franchise mode. I figured I’d start with Road to the Show, creating a player and working my way up through the minors.
It was a bit of a grind, to be honest. Lots of games, lots of stat tracking. But I slowly started to see progress. I earned a few trophies related to getting called up and hitting certain milestones.
Diamond Dynasty Challenges
Diamond Dynasty was a whole other beast. I spent hours building my team, completing challenges, and playing online. This mode definitely tested my skills (and my patience!). Some of those online trophies were tough, especially against experienced players.
The Long Haul of Franchise
Franchise mode was the real time sink. I simulated some seasons, focused on winning the World Series, and tried to manage my team effectively. There were a few trophies tied to specific achievements within Franchise, like winning Manager of the Year, that I had to work towards.
Persistence and a Little Luck
Throughout the whole process, I just kept plugging away. Some days I made a lot of progress, other days it felt like I was stuck. There were definitely moments of frustration, especially when I was trying to get a specific, random trophy to pop. Sometimes, it just came down to luck.
Finally getting platinum!
But eventually, after many hours of playing, I started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The trophy list was getting smaller and smaller. And then, finally, it happened. The platinum trophy popped! It was a great feeling of accomplishment.
So, that’s my MLB The Show 24 trophy journey. It was long, sometimes tedious, but ultimately rewarding. If you’re going for the platinum, just be prepared to put in the time and effort. Good luck!
