Okay, so I’ve been messing around with “Dark and Darker” lately, specifically trying to get my hands on those Blue Stone Shards. Let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I’m gonna walk you through what I did, what worked, and what was a total waste of time.
First Steps: Total Confusion
Initially, I had no clue where to even start. I mean, the game doesn’t exactly hold your hand. I spent a good few hours just running around different maps, getting my butt kicked by pretty much everything. I think I died to those skeleton archers like, ten times in a row. Seriously frustrating.

Figuring Out the Basics
After a bit of that, I started to, you know, actually pay attention. I realized the shards weren’t just lying around in random places. I needed to be in the right areas and, more importantly, doing the right things. So I started by hitting up the easier dungeons, just trying to get a feel for the loot drops.
The Mining Grind Begins
Then I figured out you can mine them from blue stone ore. I watched a streamer do it, and it was clear as day. I got myself a pickaxe and started looking for the ore.
I tried those areas the first time, but that didn’t work very well, but it worked sometimes, it just not stable.
Experimenting with Locations
I started checking out different maps, spending a lot of time in the Goblin Caves.
After a few runs, I noticed that I got good drops in Goblin Caves, but it’s not very stable.
The Solo vs. Team Debate
One big thing I struggled with was whether to go solo or team up. Solo is tough, you’re constantly watching your back, and one mistake can send you back to the lobby. But with a team, you have to share the loot, and sometimes you get stuck with players who are, let’s just say, “less than helpful.” I’ve had teammates run off and aggro entire rooms of mobs, then leave me to deal with the mess. Good times.
Finally, Some Success!
After all that trial and error, I finally started getting a decent haul of Blue Stone Shards. It’s still not super consistent.I’ve found that sticking to the Goblin Caves, focusing on mining, and being super careful about avoiding unnecessary fights has been the most reliable method for me.
So, that’s my Blue Stone Shard saga. It’s been a grind, but hey, that’s “Dark and Darker,” right? Hope this helps someone out there avoid some of the headaches I went through!
