Okay, so I’ve been trying to force Yasuo carry in TFT lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a rollercoaster. I wanted to share my, uh, journey with you guys.
The Initial Spark (and Faceplants)
I saw some people online talking about how busted Yasuo can be, so I thought, “Hey, I gotta try this!” My first few games? Complete disasters. I mean, I was getting stomped. I slammed items on him early, thinking that was the key, but I was getting out-scaled by, like, everyone. I was bottom four every single time. It was rough.

The “Aha!” Moment
Then, I realized I was doing it all wrong. I was focusing too much on getting Yasuo early and forcing items. The real trick, I found, is to play your strongest board early on. I started using, like, whatever strong units I could find – some Duelists, some Challengers, whatever two-stars I rolled. I was just trying to save HP and build my economy.
- Play strongest board.
- Save Gold.
- Don’t force it.
The Slow Roll
The key is to slow roll at level 5 or 6. Don’t level up too fast! You want to stay at those levels and just keep rolling your gold until you hit Yasuo 3-star. It takes patience, I’m not gonna lie. There were times I was getting anixous, wanting to Level up, but resist!.
Itemization (Finally!)
Once I actually had a decent Yasuo, I started thinking about items. I found that a mix of damage and sustain works best. Things like, Hand of Justice, Titan’s Resolve, and Quicksilver. Edge of Night is pretty good too. Don’t be afraid to experiment, though! See what feels good for you.
Positioning and Other Units
Positioning is super important too. You want Yasuo to get his ability off quickly, so I usually put him on the second row, maybe off to the side a bit. And don’t forget about the rest of your team! I like to have some frontline units to protect him, like Shen or even some other Duelists. Irelia is a great partner for him. She provides more damage.
The Payoff (Sometimes)
When it all comes together, it’s beautiful. Yasuo just starts slicing through the enemy team like butter. It’s seriously satisfying. But even with all this, sometimes you just low-roll. Sometimes you don’t hit your units, or the enemy gets a perfect counter comp. That’s just TFT, I guess. But when you do hit, it’s glorious. Still learning, still experimenting, but that’s my Yasuo carry experience so far!
