Alright, folks, gather ’round! Today, I’m gonna walk you through my journey of building and tweaking a Kazoo deck in Marvel Snap. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you!
Diving In Headfirst
So, I started like everyone else, I guess – I saw some folks online talking about how fun Kazoo decks are. I thought, “Hey, I like flooding the board with cheap cards, sounds like my kinda party!” I looked up some basic decklists, and just jumped right in.

The Initial Mess
My first few games? Oof. Total disaster. I was throwing down 1-cost cards like there was no tomorrow, but I wasn’t thinking about strategy, synergy, nothing. I got crushed by Killmonger more times than I care to admit. My poor little Ant-Man was getting zapped before he could even dream of getting big. I quickly realized I needed a plan.
Back to the Drawing Board (aka Deck Builder)
I spent a good hour just staring at the deck builder. I swapped out some cards, added some others. I focused on cards that buffed other cards, like Angela, and Bishop. This is the list of cards I chose:
- Ant-Man
- Elektra
- Nightcrawler
- Rocket Raccoon
- Squirrel Girl
- Angela
- Armor
- Bishop
- Ka-Zar
- Blue Marvel
- Captain Amercia
- Onslaught
Tweaking and Tuning
Okay, much better! I started winning some games. I learned to play around Killmonger a bit, baiting him out with less important cards. I discovered the power of dropping a turn 6 Blue Marvel and Onslaught. And I figured out that using Onslaught along side Ka-zar and Blue Marvel gave the 1-cost cards a real boost!
The Winning Formula (Mostly)
I’m still not a Marvel Snap pro, not by a long shot. But my Kazoo deck? It’s become my go-to when I just wanna have some fun and see a board full of colorful cards. I added Armor to protect my little guys from Killmonger, which helped a TON. and using Onslaught with the two cards of Blue Marvel and Ka-Zar, really made a good difference.
My Tips (From One Noob to Another)
- Don’t be afraid to experiment! Try different cards, see what works for you.
- Protect your 1-cost cards! Killmonger is your enemy, but Armor is your friend.
- Think about your curve. You want to be able to play cards every turn.
- Ka-zar, Blue Marvel, and Onslaught are the real powerhouses in my deck.
- Have fun! Seriously, it’s a game. Don’t get too stressed about winning or losing.
So yeah, that’s my Kazoo journey. It’s been messy, it’s been fun, and it’s definitely taught me a thing or two about Marvel Snap. Now go out there and flood that board!
