Alright, so I’ve been messing around with Bel’Veth in the mid lane, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I wanted to shake things up a bit, you know, get out of my comfort zone. So I picked Bel’Veth mid.
The Beginning
First few games? Disaster. Absolute disaster. I got poked down by mages, out-traded by assassins, and generally felt pretty useless. I was feeding my butt off, and my team was, shall we say, not thrilled.

The Adjustment
But I’m stubborn. I stuck with it. I started watching some high-ELO Bel’Veth mid gameplay, and it clicked. I was playing her way too passively. Bel’Veth mid isn’t about sitting back; it’s about controlled aggression, about finding those early trades and snowballing.
- I learned to use her E (Royal Maelstrom) more effectively to mitigate burst damage.
- I practiced last-hitting with her Q (Void Surge) to secure farm, even under pressure.
- I changed my Sumoner Spells to Flash and Ignite.
The Realization
The biggest change, though, was my mindset. I stopped being afraid to die (within reason, of course). I started looking for those all-in opportunities, diving the enemy laner when they overextended, and using my W (Above and Below) to knock them up for an easy kill.
It’s still a work in progress, don’t get me wrong. There are some matchups that are just brutal (looking at you, Ahri). But I’m actually winning games now. I’m carrying some of them, even! It feels good to take a champion that’s “supposed” to be in the jungle and make her work in a completely different role. I am done with my “Belveth Mid” Pratice.
