Alright, guys, let’s talk about “The Alley Flash” in Genshin Impact. I’ve been messing around with this sword, and I wanted to share my experience, step-by-step, on how I got it and what I think about it.
Getting My Hands on It
So, first things first, how do you even get this sword? Well, it’s a gacha weapon, meaning you gotta try your luck with the weapon banner. I pulled a few times – and by a few, I mean A LOT – on the weapon banner when it showed up. I was actually hoping for another weapon, to be honest, but hey, The Alley Flash dropped. It wasn’t what I initially wanted, but I figured, “Why not give it a shot?”

Putting It to the Test
My first thought was, “Okay, who can even use this thing effectively?” I have some characters, so I started experimenting. I equipped it on my Bennett first. His Elemental Skill has a super short cooldown. I wanted to see if I could quickly stack up that damage bonus.
- I ran around Mondstadt, smacking Hilichurls.
- I tried to time my dodges to keep the passive active. It’s kind of tricky, not gonna lie.
- I jumped into some domains to test it out in a more “real-world” scenario.
After Bennett, I slapped it on my Xingqiu. I figured his Rain Swords could help protect him from getting hit, keeping that damage bonus active. It worked… okay-ish. It’s need to be very skillful while using this.
And, it’s very beautiful with high base ATK.
My Final Thoughts
Honestly, it’s a niche weapon. I found that it’s not the easiest sword to use effectively because of that whole “taking damage” condition. But when it works, it works. It gives a large ATK. You really see those numbers go up. If you’re a pro at dodging and have a character that can keep themselves safe, then The Alley Flash can be pretty strong. I still prefer other swords for my main DPS characters, though.
I’m still playing around with different builds and teams. It’s not my go-to weapon, but it’s not terrible either. It’s just… specific. It’s a good experience to have, though!
