Okay, so I’ve been playing a TON of Pokemon Go lately, and let me tell you, Chandelure has become one of my absolute favorites. It just looks so cool, like a haunted chandelier, you know? But looking cool is only half the battle, I needed this thing to actually, like, do something in raids and gyms.
So, I started digging around. First thing I did was catch a bunch of Litwicks. I mean, a bunch. I walked around my neighborhood, used incense, everything. I needed that candy, bad. And, I wanted a Litwick with good stats, high IVs, whatever you want to call it.

Finally, after, I swear, like 50 Litwicks, I got one that was pretty darn good. So, I powered that little guy up, evolved it into Lampent, and then, boom! Chandelure time!
Figuring Out the Moves
Now, this is where it got interesting. I knew I wanted a moveset that would make Chandelure a fire-type beast. You know give all fire damage. But at the time I don’t know which is best! So I hit up some online forums, watched some YouTube videos, the whole nine yards.
What I discovered is, for pure fire, Fire Spin as the fast move is The best. and I see a lot of people were saying Overheat for the charged move. Sounds powerful. So I was like, “Okay, cool, let’s do that.”
I used some TMs – Fast TMs and Charged TMs – I had saved up. Took a few tries (those things are random, it’s so annoying!), but I finally got Fire Spin and Overheat on my Chandelure.
Testing It Out
Right, time for the moment of truth! I took my newly-powered-up Chandelure to a local raid. I think it was… some legendary, I don’t even remember. What I do remember is that Chandelure absolutely MELTED the competition. Seriously, it was doing crazy damage. I was so hyped!
I’ve been using this moveset ever since, and it’s been working great. Chandelure is a total glass cannon – it hits hard, but it can’t take a lot of damage, so you gotta be a little careful. But man, when it hits, it HITS.
So yeah, that’s my Chandelure story. Catch a good Litwick, evolve it, get Fire Spin and Overheat, and watch the fireworks! It’s a blast, I’m telling ya!
