Alright, guys, so I’ve been trying to find the absolute best support for Samira, and let me tell you, it’s been a JOURNEY.
My Quest for the Perfect Duo
I started by thinking, “Okay, Samira needs to go all-in, right? She’s all about that aggressive playstyle.” So, naturally, my brain went straight to the engage supports.

The Engage Support Trials
- Leona: Classic, right? I locked her in, thinking, “This is it! We’re gonna stomp!” And, well, sometimes it worked. When Leona lands everything, it’s beautiful. Samira gets to dash in, stack her passive, and boom, easy kill. But if Leona misses? Oof. We were sitting ducks. Too reliant on that perfect engage.
- Nautilus: Same kinda deal as Leona. Huge engage potential, but also a big risk. I felt like I was always waiting for Nautilus to land that hook, and if he didn’t, I was just… there. Farming. Not ideal for Samira.
- Alistar: The combo is good, but to be honest, I am a terrible Alistar, I can never execute the combo perfectly.
- Rell: Now, Rell was interesting. She’s got that engage, but also some peel for when things go south. I had a few really good games with a Rell. The synergy felt pretty smooth. But, again, it felt like I was relying on my support to make the play, more than being able to create my own.
The “Aha!” Moment
Then I started experimenting. I was getting frustrated with the all-or-nothing engage supports. I needed something that could help me get going, even if we didn’t land that perfect CC chain.
- Taric:The Dazzle can be a game-changer, and the heal and ultimate, oh boy! it is perfect.
Conclusion
Honestly, I will keep trying and keep you guys updated. It is important to pick a champion that you are good at.
