Okay, so I’ve been grinding TFT lately, and I finally figured out the whole Superfan item thing. It took me a bit, honestly, but now that I’ve got it down, I figured I’d share my experience, step-by-step.
Getting Started: The Chosen Mechanic
First, I had to really understand the “Chosen” mechanic. I kept seeing people with these amped-up units, and I was like, “How?!” Turns out, you gotta watch the shop. Every so often, a “Chosen” unit pops up, and it’s highlighted. It’s got a little crown icon. These guys are key.

Building the Superfan Squad
Next, I learned I needed specific units. I had to find the Superfans, obviously. You’re looking for:
- Kennan: This little dude looks angry.
- Lillia: Another cute one.
- Gnar:He has a cute skin, but also is angry.
- Neeko:A green girl, cannot be ignored.
I spent a bunch of gold rerolling the shop, trying to find these guys. It can be a bit of a pain, especially early on. Sometimes I’d get lucky and snag a Chosen Superfan right away, other times… well, let’s just say my economy took a hit.
Triggering the Item Buff
Here’s where I got stuck for a while. I had my Superfans, but nothing special was happening. Turns out, it’s all about how many you have and who your main carry is.
- With 3 Superfans, they give your main carry a completed item. I found out it’s best to give your items to a unit which is your main carry.
- 4 Superfans will upgrade that item to a radiant version!
My “A-Ha!” Moment
I finally had my “a-ha!” moment when I got Kennan, Lillia, Gnar, and Neeko. I stacked items on my other 4 cost unit, and BAM! He got a completed item, and then it become a Radiant Item, so powerful!
Experimentation and Refinement
From there, it was all about experimenting. I tried different carries to see which items they’d get. I realized some combinations were way better than others. For example, a well-itemized carry with that Superfan bonus is almost unstoppable.
Tips and Tricks I Learned
- Don’t be afraid to reroll early. Finding those early Superfans can set you up for a strong mid-game.
- Pay attention to the Chosen units. Even if you don’t get a Superfan Chosen, you might find one that fits your comp and gives you a head start.
- Think about your main carry from the start. Put Items to your main carry.
So yeah, that’s my Superfan item journey. It took some trial and error, but I’m consistently getting those sweet item boosts now. Hope this helps someone else out there!
