Alright, folks, let’s dive into my little experiment with “Donte DiVincenzo 2K.” I’ve been messing around with NBA 2K, and DiVincenzo has been a player I’ve been trying to, well, ‘figure out’ in the game.
So, I started by just jumping into some regular games. Play Now mode, nothing fancy. I wanted to get a feel for his default stats and how he played straight out of the box. My first impression? He’s quick, and his shot isn’t terrible, but he’s not exactly a superstar.

MyLeague Fiddling
Next, I moved onto MyLeague mode. This is where I like to tinker. I bumped up some of his shooting attributes, just a little, to see if I could make him a more consistent threat from outside. I also messed with his playmaking a bit, trying to get him to dish out a few more assists.
- Increased his three-point rating by a few points.
- Boosted his passing accuracy slightly.
- Tweaked his shot release to see if I could find something that felt more “natural” for me.
The results? Okay, I’ll be honest, it wasn’t a night-and-day difference. He was definitely hitting more shots, but he still wasn’t quite the dominant force I was maybe, possibly, hoping for. I guess it shows that changing a few points is not a cheat code.
Practice Makes…Better?
Then I spent some time in the practice gym. I just worked on his shot, over and over. Trying different releases, different timings. It’s kinda tedious, but I felt like I was starting to get a better feel for his jumper. I practiced spot-up threes, off-the-dribble shots, everything.
Finally, I took my ‘improved’ DiVincenzo back into some games. And you know what? He felt better. Not amazing, not a game-changer, but definitely more playable. I was hitting more shots, making better passes, and generally feeling more confident with him on the court.
So, my takeaway? Donte DiVincenzo in 2K is a project. He’s not going to be a superstar out of the box, but with a little tweaking and a lot of practice, you can turn him into a solid contributor. It’s all about finding what works for you and your playstyle.
