Okay, let’s dive into my experience catching Galarian Meowth in Pokémon GO!
So, I’d been seeing chatter online about Galarian Meowth popping up more frequently. I’m always on the lookout for these regional variants, so I decided to put some serious effort into finding one.

My Hunting Strategy
First thing, I checked the in-game news to see if there was any event going on that might boost its spawn rate. Nope, nothing specific. Okay, plan B: good old-fashioned legwork.
- I knew that 7km eggs were my best bet. I already had a few incubators, so that was a good start.
- I figured walking around populated areas with lots of Pokéstops would maximize my chances. More stops, more gifts, more 7km eggs, right?
- I start to walk around the park to get more chances to catch it.
The Grind Begins
I spent a couple of days just focusing on spinning stops and opening gifts. I got lucky and my friend sent me some gift which contain 7km eggs. Man, my feet were killing me! But, I got a decent stash of 7km eggs.
Then came the waiting game. I popped those eggs into incubators and started walking. And walking. And walking. Hatching animation after hatching animation… lots of regular Pokémon, which was a little frustrating.
Success (Finally!)
It took me a whlie, But then, BAM! There it was. The egg-hatching animation started, and I saw that little Galarian Meowth pop up. I was so stoked!
Honestly, I think I yelled “YES!” a little too loudly in public. A few people gave me weird looks. But I didn’t care. Got my Galarian Meowth!
Now I have to continue to catch it more for the candy!
So that’s my Galarian Meowth story. Not super glamorous, but it involved some planning, a lot of walking, and a bit of luck. If you’re hunting for one, just keep at it. Persistence pays off in Pokémon GO!
