Alright, so I’ve been diving deep into MLB The Show lately, and one thing I really wanted to figure out was how to request a trade. I mean, sometimes you just feel like a change of scenery, right? So, I started poking around, and here’s the lowdown on what I discovered.
My Franchise Mode Journey
First, I jumped into Franchise Mode. That’s where I figured the trade magic would happen. I picked my team, started playing some games, and then… nothing. No obvious “request trade” button anywhere. I started to get a little frustrated, I’m not gonna lie.

Digging Through the Menus
I spent a good chunk of time just navigating through all the menus. I checked my player profile, looked at the team management options, even scrolled through the league news, hoping for some hidden clue. Seriously, I felt like I was looking for a secret code or something. I checked under the bed, in the closet. Everything.
Simulating Seasons (and Getting Impatient)
Then, I had an idea: maybe I needed to play through more of the season? So, I started simulating games. I simmed a few weeks, then a month, then a whole season. Still nothing! It was starting to feel like a wild goose chase.
The “My Player” Tab
Finally,I realized that there is a “My Player” menu option. I should have check this option before, but finally I clicked in it.
There it was! An option that said “Request a Trade.” I clicked that, and the game let me choose my team. What a feeling!
The Final Step
So, after all that searching and experimenting, I finally figured it out. The only way I could find that you can request a trade is in “My Player” tab in Franchise * takes a little time, but the game will offer you a few teams, and you can choose a prefer team. It is not that hard, but not that easy to find, too.
