Okay, so I’ve been diving back into Madden 23 lately, and one thing that always gets me is player ratings. Specifically, I wanted to see where Joe Flacco landed this year.
First, I fired up the game. Booted up my PlayStation, grabbed the controller, and navigated to the roster section. It’s pretty straightforward – you know, main menu, then over to the little gear icon for settings, and boom, rosters.

Next, I needed to find Flacco. He’s with the Browns now, so I scrolled through the teams until I hit Cleveland. I always forget which division some teams are in, so sometimes it takes a minute of hunting. Found the Browns, clicked on ’em.
Searching for Joe
Then came the slight pain of scrolling through the player list. It’s organized by overall rating, so I knew Flacco wouldn’t be at the very top. Quarterbacks are usually pretty high up though, so I started there and started working my way down.
And there he was! It showed his overall rating right there on the main roster screen. I also clicked into his individual player card to see the breakdown of his attributes. I think seeing things like throw power, accuracy, and awareness gives a better sense of how he’ll actually play in the game.
I did take some time to check and compare his attribute.
It’s always interesting to see how the game developers rate these guys, you know? It’s a whole process, and it definitely sparks some debates among us Madden fans.
