Okay, so today I tried to get Cloudpool Ridge working in Legends: Arceus, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I’m gonna walk you through what I did, step by step, so you can hopefully avoid some of the headaches I encountered.
Firing Up the Game
First things first, I booted up Legends: Arceus. Gotta make sure the game is running, right? Made sure my Switch was charged – wouldn’t want it dying mid-adventure!

Getting to the Right Spot
Next, I needed to actually get to Cloudpool Ridge. I hopped on my trusty mount (I love the ride Pokemon in this game, it is fantastic!) and traveled to the Coronet Highlands. If you haven’t unlocked this area yet, you’ll need to progress further in the main story. Cloudpool Ridge is kinda tucked away, so I used the map a lot to make sure I was going the right way. It’s up high, so get ready for some climbing!
Finding the Right Pokemon
The whole point of going to Cloudpool Ridge, for me at least, was to catch some specific Pokemon. I was hunting that’s found there. So, once I got to the area, I started searching.I wandered around, keeping my eyes peeled. Remember, the Pokemon that appear can change depending on the time of day and the weather, so you might need to be patient. I spent a good chunk of time just exploring and waiting for the right conditions.
The Catching Process
- Sneaking Around: I crouched down and moved slowly to avoid scaring any Pokemon away.
- Using Items: I tossed some berries to distract them. Makes them easier to catch!
- Battle Time: I’m used my own Pokemon to weaken them, but be careful not to make them faint!
- Throwing Poke Balls: I went through a bunch of Poke Balls before I finally caught what I wanted.
Troubleshooting
Of course, things didn’t always go smoothly. I made a lot of mistake! Sometimes I’d accidentally scare away the Pokemon I was trying to catch. Sometimes my throws would miss. And sometimes, well, I’d just get lost! But I kept at it, reloaded my save a few times when things went really wrong, and eventually, I got what I was after.
So, it did take some time and effort, but I finally got the Pokemon I wanted from Cloudpool *, my little adventure here helps you out if you’re trying to do the same thing. Good luck, and happy hunting!
