Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into the mid lane meta lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I wanted to put together a definitive tier list, you know, something to really help people climb. So, I started by, well, playing a ton of games.
I logged my results, every single match. Win or lose, I noted the champion, the matchup, KDA, CS, everything. I figured the more data, the better, right? I used a simple spreadsheet at first, just to keep things organized.

Experiment Time!
Then came the fun part – experimenting! I picked champions I wasn’t super familiar with, even some that are considered “off-meta.” The goal was to get a feel for everything, not just the usual suspects. I even tried some weird builds, just to see if I could find any hidden gems.
- First, I played a bunch of games with the obvious top-tiers. You know, the Sylases, the Ahris, the Akalis. Just to get a baseline.
- Next, I moved on to the “maybe” picks. The ones that are good, but maybe not quite as dominant. Think like, Viktor, or maybe even a well-played Orianna.
- And finally, the spicy stuff! I dusted off some champions I hadn’t touched in ages. Galio, anyone? Maybe a little bit of Neeko?
After each game, I went back to my spreadsheet and added more detailed notes. How did I feel in lane? Did I have kill pressure? Could I roam effectively? Was I getting stomped? All that juicy info.
It wasn’t just about win rates, though. I also watched a bunch of pro play and high-elo streams. I wanted to see how the best players were using these champions, what their builds looked like, and how they approached different matchups. I’d pause the stream, rewind, and really analyze what they were doing.
After, I don’t know, probably hundreds of games and countless hours of research, I finally felt ready to put it all together. I started grouping champions based on my experiences and all the data I’d collected.
It was a process of constantly tweaking and refining. I’d move champions up and down the list, debate with myself about certain placements, and even ask some of my friends for their opinions.
Finally. Done. I had something that I will share to you all!
