Alright guys, so I’ve been messing around with CS:GO cases lately, trying to figure out which ones are actually worth spending my hard-earned cash on. It’s a total gamble, I know, but hey, who doesn’t love a little risk, right?
First, I started by just buying a bunch of random cases. Whatever looked cool, whatever was cheap – I grabbed it. Big mistake. I ended up with a mountain of junk skins I didn’t want and couldn’t even sell for a decent price.

Then, I decided to get a little smarter. I spent some time looking at websites that track case prices and the potential drops inside. I checked out some forums, watched a few YouTube videos (some of those guys are way too into this, haha), and basically just tried to soak up as much info as I could.
What I learned is that it’s not just about the chance of getting a knife or a super rare skin. It’s also about the overall value of the stuff you’re likely to get. Some cases have a higher “floor,” meaning even the common drops are worth something.
My Current Strategy
- I focus mostly on cases that have been out for a while. The prices tend to be a bit more stable.
- I look for cases with a good mix of desirable skins, even at the lower rarity levels.
- I avoid cases that are brand new, or cases that are super old and overpriced.
Then, I open up * example, I picked up a few Revolution Cases.
It’s still a gamble, of course. I haven’t gotten a knife yet (fingers crossed!), but I’ve gotten some pretty decent skins that I’ve either kept or sold to buy more cases. It’s a vicious cycle, I tell ya!
Anyway, that’s my little adventure in CS:GO case opening so far. It’s definitely more of an art than a science. Just remember to have fun and don’t spend more than you’re willing to lose!
