Alright, so I’ve been playing a lot of, you know, those monster-collecting games lately. And I kept getting my butt kicked whenever I used my Fairy-type. It was super frustrating! I was like, “What the heck is going on?” So, I decided to do a little experiment, a little digging, to figure out if Fairy-types are actually weak to Ghost-types.
First, I grabbed my notebook and pen – gotta keep track of this stuff, right? – and fired up the game. I picked out my cutest, strongest-looking Fairy-type and went looking for some Ghost-type action.

The Experiment Begins!
I found a spooky-looking area, you know, the kind with all the creepy fog and weird noises. Perfect place for Ghost-types to hang out. And sure enough, I bumped into a whole bunch of them.
- First battle: My Fairy-type used a Fairy-type move. Did pretty good damage, nothing crazy. Then the Ghost-type used a Ghost-type move… BOOM! My Fairy-type’s HP just melted. Ouch.
- Second battle: I tried a different Fairy-type move, thinking maybe it was just that one. Nope. Same result. Ghost-type move just shredded my poor little Fairy.
- Third Battle I even use another kind of pokemon. still the same!
I kept going, battling more and more Ghost-types. I switched up my Fairy-types, tried different moves, even threw in some Normal-type moves for good measure. But it was always the same story. The Ghost-type moves did way more damage to my Fairy-types than the other way around.
So, after all that battling, and a whole lot of note-taking, I think I can safely say, yeah, Fairy-types seem pretty darn weak to Ghost-types. My Fairy-types were getting wrecked! It wasn’t even close. Lesson learned: Don’t bring a Fairy-type to a Ghost-type fight!
