Okay, so I’ve been wanting to play MLB The Show 23 with my buddies for a while now, but the problem was, we all have different consoles. I’m on PlayStation 5, one friend’s got an Xbox Series X, and another is still rocking his old Xbox One. I did some digging to figure out if crossplay was even a thing, you know?
Figuring Out the Crossplay Situation
I started by checking some of the official information about the game, reading some fourms, and some game news.

Luckily, it turns out MLB The Show 23 does have crossplay! I found out you can totally play with friends across PlayStation, Xbox, and even Nintendo Switch. That was a huge relief.
Setting Up a Game with Friends
So, how do you actually do it? It’s pretty simple, actually. I started by making sure of two things:
- First thingI do make sure that Cross-Play feature is enabled on setting menu.
- second thingI checked was that my friends are also in my friend list.
After completing the things, it was easy to invite them to play together.
Playing the Game!
Once we were all set up, we jumped into a game. I mostly play Diamond Dynasty, so we tried that out. It was awesome! We could all build our teams and then face off against each other, no matter what console we were on. We even tried a few exhibition games, just messing around with different teams. Everything worked pretty smoothly. Honestly, it felt like we were all playing on the same console, which was the whole point!
I was really happy with how easy it was to set up and play with my friends across different consoles. It made the whole experience of playing MLB The Show 23 much better.
