Alright, so I finally got my hands on the “DBD Nightmare Edition” for PS4. I’d been holding off for a while, mainly because I wasn’t sure if it was worth the extra cash. But, man, was I itching to try out some of the killers and survivors I didn’t have yet.
First thing I did was rip open that plastic wrap – you know that satisfying sound? Yeah, that’s the stuff. Popped the disc into my PS4, and waited. And waited. The install time felt like forever, probably because I was so hyped to jump in.

Once it was finally ready, I jumped straight into a match as the Spirit. I’d watched some gameplay videos, but actually playing as her was a whole different ballgame. Her phasing ability is so freakin’ cool! I managed to snag a couple of survivors, totally surprising them when I popped out of nowhere.
- Trying out the Killers:
- The Spirit: Super fun, phasing is awesome.
- The Legion: Still getting the hang of their frenzy, but it’s brutal when you connect.
- The Plague: Her vomit is gross, but effective! Corrupting generators is a game-changer.
- Exploring the Survivors:
- Jeff Johansen:Love his look very much!
- Jane Romero:Her perks seem pretty decent, especially Head On. Still figuring out the best way to use them.
I spent a good few hours just messing around, switching between killers and survivors, trying out different perk combinations. It’s a lot to take in, to be honest. All these new characters and abilities… my brain was fried by the end of the night.
My Thinking
Was it worth it? For me, yeah, definitely. If you’re a big DBD fan like I am, and you’re missing some of the DLC, the Nightmare Edition is a pretty good way to get a bunch of it at once. I will keep trying until I become a pro player!
