Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into the New Phyrexia cards lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride! I wanted to share my process, because, honestly, it started pretty messy, but it’s all coming together.
First, I dumped all my New Phyrexia cards onto the table. Seriously, just a big pile. It looked like a Phyrexian invasion had hit my living room! I had no idea where to even start, because i have many.

Sorting Time (Ugh)
Next, I knew I had to sort them. This is always the most tedious part, right? I went with the classic color-coded approach:
- White
- Blue
- Black
- Red
- Green
- Artifacts (so many artifacts!)
- Multicolor (Phyrexian mana symbols everywhere!)
It took a while, let me tell you. I swear, some of these cards breed when I’m not looking. I keep find more!
Finding the Gems
After the sorting was done, I started to look through them more carefully.
I was searching for anything that looked interesting, powerful, or just plain weird.
You know, the cards that make you go, “Hmm, I could build a deck around that!”
I found a few that really caught my eye – some of those infect creatures are seriously nasty, and the Phyrexian mana opens up some crazy possibilities.
Sleeving and Protecting
Once I had a pile of “keepers,” I grabbed my card sleeves.
Gotta protect those precious cardboard rectangles! Nothing worse than bending a corner on a card you really like.
I also put the really good ones in top-loaders, because, you know, extra protection.

Deck Building Dreams
Now comes the fun part – brainstorming deck ideas! I’ve got a few concepts brewing in my head, like:
- A super-fast infect deck, just trying to poison my opponents out as quickly as possible.
- A control deck using those Phyrexian mana spells to disrupt everything my opponent does.
- Maybe even some weird artifact combo deck. New Phyrexia has so many cool artifacts!
It’s still early days, and I’m sure I’ll change my mind a million times, but that’s part of the fun, right? I’ll probably spend the next few days tweaking and testing and seeing what works. It’s a process, but a fun one!
i am excited to keep finding more interesting cards!
