Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get my hands on some specific Animal Crossing amiibo cards for a while now, and Hornsby, that chill rhino, was at the top of my list. I just love his laid-back vibe, and I needed him in my town.
The Hunt Begins
First, I checked the usual spots, you know, like the big online retailers. No luck. They were either out of stock or the prices were crazy inflated. Seriously, some people were charging ridiculous amounts!
Next, I hit up some local game stores. I figured maybe they’d have some older packs lying around. Struck out again. One store had a few random packs, but no Hornsby. The search continues!
Getting Crafty
Then, a friend suggested checking out online marketplaces. I found a few listings, but I was a little hesitant. I wanted to make sure I was getting a legit card, not some fake.
I ended up finding a seller with good reviews and a decent price. I messaged them to ask a few questions, just to be sure. They were super helpful and answered everything. Feeling pretty good about it, I placed my order!
Waiting Game
The waiting was the hardest part! I kept checking the tracking information, like, every five minutes. Finally, the package arrived! I ripped that thing open so fast!
Success!
There he was! Hornsby, in all his glory! The card looked perfect, brand new. I immediately scanned him into my game, and boom, he was moving into my town. I was so stoked!

It was totally worth the effort, though. Now I have my favorite rhino buddy hanging out in my town, and that’s all that matters. It’s the little things, you know?
