Alright, so I’ve been diving deep into Warzone lately, trying to figure out the best way to use marksman rifles. Here’s what I’ve been up to and what I’ve learned.
Experimenting with Loadouts
First, I messed around with a bunch of different loadouts. I mean, there are so many attachments and perks, it’s kinda crazy. I started by trying to max out range and accuracy. I figured, “Hey, these are marksman rifles, I should be able to pick people off from a mile away, right?”

- I slapped on the longest barrels I could find.
- I added muzzle brakes and compensators to control recoil.
- I used high-magnification scopes to see those tiny enemies far away.
It… kinda worked. I could definitely hit shots from far away, but it felt super clunky. Up close, I was getting wrecked. I was too slow to aim down sights, and anyone with an SMG would just melt me.
Finding the Right Balance
So, I went back to the drawing board. I realized I needed a balance. I couldn’t just focus on long-range; I needed to be able to fight up close too. This is Warzone, after all, not a sniper simulator.
I started experimenting with shorter barrels. Yeah, I lost some range, but I gained a ton of mobility. I could aim down sights way faster, and I felt much more agile.
- I added a tac laser which helped a bunch for aim down sight speed.
- I switched to a lower-magnification scope. Something like a 3x or 4x felt much better. I could still hit those longer shots, but I could also react quickly to enemies close by.
Practice, Practice, Practice
Getting the build right is one thing, and using it is another thing.
Of course, none of this matters if you can’t hit your shots. I spent a lot of time in Plunder just practicing my aim. I tried to engage enemies at different ranges, getting a feel for the bullet drop and travel time. It took a while, but I started to get the hang of it.
- I tried the different guns.
- I picked off real player enemies and moved to the next one.
My Current Go-To
Right now, I’m really liking the EBR-14. It feels like a good middle ground between a sniper rifle and an assault rifle. I can tap-fire at range, but I can also hold my own in closer *’s not perfect, but it’s working for me.
My final thoughts? Marksman rifles in Warzone are all about finding the right balance. You need to be able to hit those long shots, but you also need to be able to move and react quickly. It takes practice, but it’s definitely rewarding when you start hitting those headshots consistently.
