Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about the “League New Split” and decided to jump in and see what all the fuss was about. Frankly, I was a bit lost at first, so I figured I’d document my journey for anyone else feeling the same way.
Getting Started
First things first, I logged into the League client. Gotta start somewhere, right? The home screen was flashing all these new banners and announcements about the split, so it was pretty hard to miss.
Exploring the Changes
I poked around the client a bit. The biggest thing I noticed immediately was the ranked section – it looked totally different! There’s a new progress bar, and it seems like the whole system got a visual overhaul.
- New Ranked Interface: Shiny and new! It took a moment to figure out where everything was.
- Promotional Series Changes?: I’m pretty sure they tweaked how promotions work. I need to play a few more games to get a solid feel for it.
- Split Points: I saw mention of split point and now need to work out my strategy to gain split points.
Playing Some Games
Of course, the best way to understand changes is to experience them firsthand. I queued up for a ranked game. The game itself felt the same, obviously, but the post-game screen had some new info related to the split progress. It shows how far you get promoted, demoted, and some other information.
Figuring Out the Rewards
One of my main motivators (besides, you know, climbing the ladder) is the rewards. I found a section in the client that detailed the split-specific rewards. It looks like there are some cool emotes and icons up for grabs, so that’s definitely something to work towards.
Still Learning…
Honestly, I’m still wrapping my head around all the intricacies of the new split. There are probably some subtle changes I haven’t even noticed yet. But that’s part of the fun, right? Discovering and adapting to the new system.
I pushed myself, and I felt that I made progress on the rank. I also think that I may have the potential to get some rewards.
