Alright, so I decided to tackle the Black Pearl in Sea of Thieves. I’d seen some videos online, and I figured, “How hard could it be?” Famous last words, right?
First, I gathered my crew. I play with my 2 usual buddies. We’ve sailed together for a while now, so we’re pretty good at working together. Or so I thought.
Getting Started
We set sail from Golden Sands Outpost, stocked up on supplies (or so we believed), and headed towards the area where the Black Pearl was rumored to be. The seas were pretty calm, which, in hindsight, should have been a warning.
The Encounter
- We spotted the Black Pearl on the horizon. It looked menacing, even from a distance.
- As we got closer, the sky darkened, and the waves started to get choppy.
- My crew and I are ready to do our thing.
The Fight
Then, all hell broke loose. Cannons started firing, and these cursed cannonballs were flying everywhere. We tried to return fire, but our aim was off. One of my buddies yelled something about needing more planks, and I realized we were already taking on water. Fast.
I attempted to steer the ship, while one of my crew bailed water like a madman, and another desperately tried to patch holes. It was chaos. We managed to land a few hits on the Black Pearl, but it didn’t seem to do much.
The Downfall
Then, a massive wave crashed over our ship. We were swamped. I saw one of my crewmates get swept overboard. We were done for. Our ship sank faster than I thought possible, and we all ended up in the water, watching the Black Pearl sail away, victorious. I was so shocked for what happened.
Lesson Learned
So, yeah, my first attempt to take on the Black Pearl? A total disaster. But hey, we live and learn, right? Next time, we’re bringing more supplies, and we’re definitely going to practice our cannon aim. Maybe, find other crews that are more familiar to this. We will take that ship down… eventually.
