I woke up this morning and decided to mess around with that new app, Pokemon Sleep. You know, the one that tracks your sleep and has some Pokemon stuff in it? I’ve been hearing about it, so I figured, why not give it a shot? It’s supposed to help you get better sleep or something, and I’m always up for trying new things.
First thing I did was download the app. Easy enough. Then I had to set it up, which took a little bit of time. You have to give it all sorts of permissions, like letting it track your sleep and all that. I was a little hesitant at first, but I guess it needs that info to work properly. I mean, you have to put your phone right next to you on your bed. I was a bit worried about rolling over onto it during the night.

Once I got it all set up, I had to figure out how this whole thing works. Apparently, you get different kinds of Pokemon based on how you sleep. And there are these things called “Sleep Styles,” which are like different ways you can sleep. It’s all kind of confusing, but I started to get the hang of it after messing around in the app for a while. I also saw some Drowzy Power multiplier stuff, I have no idea how those numbers are calculated or how that’s going to help my sleep. I hope these Pokemon are worth the effort.
The app also has recipes. I saw I can cook for Snorlax. You can make different dishes using ingredients you collect in the game. I’m not sure how this helps you sleep better, but it’s a cute little feature. I decided to try making a simple dish. I had some apples and some milk, so I made an apple and milk dish. You just drag and drop. I don’t know what I expected, but it didn’t taste all that great. I guess it’s more for the Pokemon than for me.
Feeding Snorlax
- Collect ingredients: Berries and stuff, I need to check what my helper Pokemon are good at.
- Cook dishes: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I guess I need to log in at least three times a day.
- Feed Snorlax: It says that if I feed Snorlax well, I can meet more Pokemon.
I haven’t really figured out how this whole recipe thing works. Do I get different recipes for the meals? Can I buy ingredients? I don’t even see a store anywhere. I’ll have to look into that later. I also saw something about “Good Sleep Day”, not sure what that means exactly. Something about Drowzy’s Power being stronger during a full moon, which is coming up soon. I’ll definitely try to get some good sleep during the event.
Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to today. It’s a weird little app, but it’s kind of fun. I’m not sure if it’s actually going to help me sleep better, but we’ll see. I’ll probably keep using it for a few more days and see what happens. Maybe I’ll even catch some rare Pokemon. Who knows?
