Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this whole “Zeri counter” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, and if I could figure out who really shuts Zeri down.
I started by just jumping into some games. No real plan, just seeing what happened when I faced Zeri. I tried a bunch of different champions, some I was good at, some… not so much. Let’s just say it was a bit of a mess at first. I was getting zapped left and right, and it felt like Zeri could just run circles around me no matter who I picked.

Then, I thought, “Okay, maybe I should actually do some research.” So, I started looking at champion abilities, thinking about what kind of stuff might give Zeri a hard time. Things like long-range poke, or champions who can lock her down and stop her from zipping around. I even watched some pro players to see what they were doing when they went up against Zeri.
After that, I started to get a better idea of what I should be doing. I started experimenting with different strategies in my games. For example, when I played champions with good crowd control, I focused on trying to catch Zeri out when she was trying to dash in. And when I played long-range champions, I tried to poke her down from a safe distance. And you know what? It started to work!
I picked some champions that seemed like they could be good, based on what I had figured out. Ashe, with her slow and long-range ultimate, felt pretty good. Caitlyn, too, because she can just outrange Zeri and trap her if she gets too close. Veigar even worked out pretty well because he can trap her in his cage and then just nuke her from orbit.
-
Ashe: Kept her slow and ulted her when she tried to get close
-
Caitlyn: Outranged her and used traps to zone her out
-
Veigar: Trapped her in the cage and then boom.
I also found out the strategy to play against Zeri. Such as:
-
Crowd Control: Use the abilities to stop her dash, and she will have a hard time to survive.
-
Range: Pick the champions with longer range than her to make her hard to stack her passive.
It wasn’t perfect, and I still got stomped sometimes. But I definitely felt like I was starting to get the hang of it. It’s not just about picking the right champion, it’s also about how you play them. You gotta be patient, wait for your opportunities, and not get baited into bad fights.

So, yeah, that’s my Zeri counter journey so far. It’s been a learning experience, for sure. I’m still figuring things out, but I’m definitely making progress. And hey, maybe my little experiment here will help someone else out there who’s struggling against this electric menace.
My Summary
It took some trial and error, and a whole lot of getting blasted by Zeri’s lasers, but I think I’ve cracked the code, at least a little bit. Crowd control is your best friend, and range is your second-best friend. It is not easy, but you can handle it if you think twice before you act. The Key point is to play smart, and patient. Good luck to you guys, and that’s all for me for now.
