Alright, so I went out today to take on a Terrakion raid in Pokémon GO. It was a bit of a spur-of-the-moment thing, but I figured, why not? I’ve been trying to catch ’em all, and Terrakion has been on my list for a while.
First things first, I checked out some online forums to see what other trainers were saying. You know, just to get a feel for what I was up against. It seemed like Terrakion is a tough one, but definitely beatable with the right team. I made sure I had a few strong Psychic and Fighting types in my lineup.

I headed over to the gym where the raid was happening. It was pretty crowded, with a bunch of other trainers milling around, tapping away at their phones. I joined the lobby and waited for the raid to start. There were about ten of us in total, which I figured was a pretty good number.
When the battle started, I threw in my best Mewtwo. That thing’s a beast! We started whittling down Terrakion’s health, but it was definitely putting up a fight. Its Rock and Fighting moves were hitting hard. I dodged when I could, but my poor Mewtwo still took a beating.
- My Mewtwo fainted, noooooo!
- I quickly switched to my Machamp.
- Luckily, it landed some solid hits.
- We were all working together, and Terrakion’s health was dropping fast now.
- Finally, with just seconds left on the clock, we defeated it!
Came the catching part. I used a Golden Razz Berry and threw a Great Ball. It shook once, twice… three times… and bam! Caught it! I did a little victory dance right there in the middle of the gym. I’m not even ashamed.
I checked out its stats, and it was pretty decent. Not the best IVs, but definitely good enough to add to my team. I named it “Rocky” because, well, it’s a rock type, and it seemed fitting.
All in all, it was a pretty successful raid. I got a new Terrakion, made some new friends, and had a good time. That’s what it’s all about, right?
Some lessons learned from today
- Bring strong counters, Psychic and Fighting are good.
- Dodge as much as possible.
- Team up with other trainers, more people means you can beat it faster.
- Celebrate your victories, even if it’s just a little dance!
If you’re thinking about taking on a Terrakion raid, go for it! It’s a fun challenge, and it’s always a good feeling to catch a legendary Pokémon. Just remember to prepare beforehand, and you should be good to go.
