Okay, so today I wanted to tackle something in Elder Scrolls Online that I’ve been putting off for a while – nabbing all those skyshards in Southern Elsweyr. I’ve already cleaned up the Northern part, so it was time to head south. I loaded up my game, grabbed my coffee, and got ready for a bit of a grind.
Preparations and Starting Point
First things first, I made sure my character was stocked up. Plenty of potions, soul gems, the usual stuff. I also double-checked that I had the right gear on – something with a good mix of damage and survivability, because you never know what you’re gonna run into out there. I started my journey from Senchal, since that’s the main hub in the area, and it’s got a wayshrine for easy access.

The Hunt Begins
I pulled up a map online, you know, one of those fan-made ones that shows all the skyshard locations. The first one was pretty close to Senchal, just a little to the east. I hopped on my mount and rode over. Found it tucked away behind some ruins – pretty easy to spot once you get close, those things glow like a beacon.
- First Skyshard: Easy peasy, right behind some old ruins near Senchal.
From there, I just followed the map, going from one point to the next. Some of these shards were in some pretty tricky spots. One of them was deep inside a delve. I had to fight my way through a bunch of those creepy crawly bugs and some undead guys to get to it. Not too tough, but definitely not a walk in the park.
- Second Skyshard: Inside a delve, had to clear out some monsters.
Exploring and Fighting
The scenery in Southern Elsweyr is actually pretty cool. Lots of desert landscapes, ancient ruins, and those big, colorful awnings they have everywhere. I even stumbled upon a couple of world bosses while I was out exploring. I took them on, why not? The loot’s always worth it. One of them dropped a pretty sweet piece of gear that I’m definitely going to be using.
Another skyshard was hidden near a waterfall. It was a nice little spot, almost didn’t want to leave. But, gotta catch ’em all, right? I also ran into a few other players doing the same thing. We gave each other a nod, maybe helped out with a mob or two, then went on our separate ways.
- Third Skyshard: Found near a waterfall, a really nice area.
- Fourth Skyshard: By a world boss, took it down and got some good loot.
The Final Stretch
The last few skyshards were scattered around the edges of the map. One was on a cliff overlooking the ocean – great view, I gotta say. Another was tucked away in a corner of a big fortress. I had to sneak around a bit to avoid aggroing too many guards, but I managed to grab it without too much trouble.
- Fifth Skyshard: On a cliff with an ocean view.
- Sixth Skyshard: Inside a fortress, had to do a bit of sneaking.
And finally, I got the last one. It was inside another delve, but this one was a bit more maze-like. I got turned around a couple of times, but eventually found it in a big open chamber. Grabbed it, and bam, achievement unlocked!
- Seventh Skyshard: In a maze-like delve, took a while to find it.
All in all, it took me a few hours to get all the skyshards in Southern Elsweyr. It was a fun little adventure, and I’m glad I finally did it. Now my character’s a bit stronger, and I’ve got a bunch of new skill points to play around with. Time to go see what other trouble I can get into!
