Okay, so I’ve been trying to get all the Fortnite Summer Crystal stuff, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a grind, but a fun one! I figured I’d share my little journey here, just in case anyone else is diving into this summer event and wants some tips.
Starting the Quests
First thing I did was hop into Fortnite and check out the summer quests in the menu. There are a bunch of them, and they seemed pretty straightforward at first. I started with the easy ones like “Land at different named locations” and “Collect resources”. Just your normal Fortnite gameplay, you know? Nothing too crazy.
The Real Challenge Begins
Then, the quests started to get a little more involved. I had to “Eliminate opponents while swimming” and “Find hidden rubber duckies”. This is where things got interesting. I spent a good chunk of time just swimming around popular areas trying to catch people off guard. The duckies, man, those were a pain! I was running around like a headless chicken, checking every nook and cranny of the map.
- Swimming Eliminations: I found that the best way to do this was to hang around the edges of the map where the water is deep and just wait for someone to come by. Took a while, but I eventually got the hang of it.
- Rubber Duckies: I realized that these little guys are usually hidden in places where you wouldn’t normally look, like inside bushes or behind rocks. Once I started thinking outside the box, I found them a lot faster.
Crystal Collecting
Now, for the main event, the Summer Crystals. These things are scattered all over the map, and you gotta collect a bunch of them to unlock the cool summer-themed items. I started by marking the spots on my map where I found the first few. Then, I noticed a pattern. They tend to spawn near landmarks and POIs. So, I started hitting up these places first.
I spent hours just gliding around, landing at different spots, and grabbing as many crystals as I could. It was a bit of a repetitive task, but honestly, I was so determined to get that summer skin that I didn’t even mind.
The Final Push
After a few days of grinding, I was finally close to getting all the items. I just needed a few more crystals. I decided to team up with a couple of friends, and we spent an entire evening just dedicated to crystal hunting. We split up, covered more ground, and called out the locations to each other. It was a blast! Finally, we did it. Got enough crystals. Those sweet summer outfits was unlocked. All done. We got them all!
