Alright, folks, let’s talk about setting up Jhin, that fancy-pants marksman, with the right support. I’ve been trying out a bunch of different combos in the bot lane, and I’m here to spill the beans on what’s been working for me.
Kicking Things Off
First off, I started by just randomly pairing Jhin with whatever support my teammates picked. You know, the usual suspects like Lulu, Nami, and sometimes even the oddball picks like a Brand or a Xerath. The results? Well, let’s just say it was a mixed bag. Some games we crushed it, others… not so much. It felt like a total coin flip.

Diving Deeper
So, I decided to get a bit more methodical. I started jotting down notes after each game. Which supports felt good with Jhin? Which ones made me want to pull my hair out? I even started watching some pro play to see what the big shots were doing. It was a grind, but hey, gotta put in the work, right?
Experimenting with the Choices
- Nami: She was a pretty solid pick. That bubble of hers? Super handy for setting up my fourth shot. And the heals and movement speed? Made it way easier to stay alive and kite around. I played like 10 games with her, and honestly, we won most of them.
- Thresh: Okay, this guy was a game-changer. Landing a hook basically meant a free kill, especially in the early game. Plus, that lantern saved my butt more times than I can count. I think we played like 15 games, and our win rate was through the roof.
- Lulu: She’s always a popular pick, and I get why. The shields and the polymorph are great for keeping me safe, but I felt like we didn’t have as much kill pressure as with other supports. Still, not a bad choice. Played about 8 games with her, won a few, lost a few.
- Engage Supports: This was a fun group that I tried out. Supports that like to get right in the face of the enemy team like Alistar, Leona and Nautilus were pretty fun with Jhin. They charge in, lock someone down, and I unload all four shots into them. Boom. If we got an early lead, it was pretty much over. I went ham with this setup, playing around 20 games.
- Enchanter Supports: These supports are all about healing, shielding, and buffing. Champions like Janna, Soraka, and Sona fall into this category. I had a tougher time with these. I found that I couldn’t secure as many kills as other supports. It was still a decent lane phase, we survived most of them, but we never really got that lead that I was looking for.
Wrapping It Up
After all that experimenting, I’ve definitely found some go-to supports for my boy Jhin. Thresh and other engage supports are my personal favorites. The kill potential is just insane. Nami is also a solid choice if you want a good mix of offense and defense. Lulu and other enchanters are fine, but I’d only pick them if I was more concerned with late game scaling. And hey, remember, this is just what worked for me. You might find that different supports click better with your playstyle. So get out there, try some stuff out, and see what happens. Good luck, and have fun!
