Okay, so, I’ve been trying to get my friends into Lethal Company, right? Sounds easy, but it turned into a whole thing. I hit up my usual crew, got them all hyped about this cool new game, and we all bought it. First hurdle? Figuring out how to actually play together. Turns out, it’s not exactly straightforward.
We jumped in, all excited, and I’m like, “Alright, who’s hosting?” Silence. Then everyone’s asking, “How do you invite?” and I’m scrambling through menus, not finding anything. We spent a good half hour just trying to figure out the basics.

Trying to Join
- First attempt: I tried hosting, figured it’d be simple. Nope. No invite button, no “send to friends” option, nothing.
- Second try: We thought maybe we had to be in the same in-game area. So we all landed on the same moon. Still nothing.
- Desperate Googling: We were all Googling like mad, trying to find some hidden setting or secret code.
Finally, we stumbled upon some forum posts talking about using the in-game console. The what now? I felt like we were back in the 90s, typing in cheat codes. But hey, we were desperate.
Console Commands to the Rescue
Turns out, you gotta enable the console in the game settings. Who knew? Then you hit the tilde key (~) and a command prompt pops up. Feels very old school, but okay. From there, we found out that we needed to use some strange command.
I hosted a game, and my friends tried to join with the command. We tried various combinations and finally, after like, an hour of messing around, one of them got in! Then the other. It was a mess, I’m telling you.
We finally played, and it was fun, but man, that setup was a pain. I don’t know why they made it so complicated. Hopefully, they’ll make it easier in the future, or maybe I just missed something obvious. But seriously, why can’t you just have a simple “invite friends” button? It shouldn’t be this hard!
I am still wondering why they didn’t make it easier. Anyway, we are all just looking forward to the updates.
