Okay, so, I’ve been itching to get my hands on the latest roster update for MLB The Show 24. I mean, who hasn’t? Fresh season, new players, gotta have it, right? So I fired up my console this morning, coffee in hand, ready to dive in.
First thing I did, naturally, was boot up the game. It takes a bit to load, so I had a few sips of that life-giving coffee. Once the main menu popped up, I went straight to the roster section. I think it’s under “Data Utility” or something similar. It’s been a bit, okay?

After some poking around, I found the option to check for roster updates. It’s usually pretty obvious, but sometimes these menus can be a maze. Anyway, I clicked it, and the game started doing its thing, connecting to the server and all that jazz.
Then, boom, there it was – the new roster update, ready for download. It wasn’t a huge file, surprisingly, so the download finished up in no time. Of course, after downloading, it had to install. That’s when I went for another coffee refill.
Here’s the process I went through, step-by-step:
- Started up my console.
- Launched MLB The Show 24.
- Navigated to the roster section in the menus.
- Checked for updates.
- Downloaded the new roster update.
- Waited for it to install.
After the installation was done, I was golden! I went back to the main menu and started up a quick exhibition game just to check things out.
My Observations After Playing A Few Innings
Man, seeing those updated player ratings and team lineups is always a thrill. I immediately noticed some of the rookies making their debuts and a few trades that had gone down in the offseason. It makes the game feel so much more real, you know? It took a few innings of playing around, but I got the hang of it.
Now I’m ready to start a new franchise with these fresh rosters. It’s gonna be a long but awesome journey, taking my team all the way to the World Series. Wish me luck!
