So, I set out to make my own Valorant trophy the other day. I’ve been hooked on this game, and I thought, “Why not have a little something to show off my dedication?” I’m not exactly a crafting pro, but hey, how hard could it be, right?
First things first, I needed a plan. I grabbed a piece of paper and sketched out a rough design. I decided to go for a simple, Valorant-inspired trophy. After several drawings, I figured out what I wanted it to look like.

Next up, materials. I rummaged through my garage and found some scrap wood for the base. For the main part of the trophy, I decided to use some metal sheets I had lying around. I also grabbed some spray paint – gold for the trophy and black for the base, of course.
I started with the base. I cut the wood into a square shape and sanded it down until it was smooth. Then, I applied a couple of coats of black spray paint, letting it dry completely between each coat. It took a bit longer than I expected, but the result was pretty slick.
Now for the tricky part – the trophy itself. I traced my design onto the metal sheet and then came the hard part, cutting it out. It took a while, and my hands were pretty sore by the end, but I finally had the shape I wanted. Then I spray-painted it gold, which gave it that nice, shiny, award-like look. I did several coats to make sure it was evenly covered and vibrant.
Once everything was dry, it was time to put it all together. I found the center of the base and used a strong adhesive to attach the trophy. I had to hold it in place for a few minutes to make sure it was secure. Then, I added a small plaque at the bottom, which I just wrote “Valorant” on it. Simple but effective, I thought.
It was a bit of a journey, to be honest. I spent more time and effort than I thought I would. There was a lot of trial and error, especially with the metal cutting part. And let’s not forget the paint fumes – definitely need to work in a well-ventilated area next time. But, at the end of the day, seeing the finished product made it all worth it. It is not a professional piece, it is got its flaws and imperfections, but that is what makes it unique, right?
My Personal Touch
- Design: Kept it simple, but definitely Valorant-themed.
- Materials: Scrap wood, metal sheets, and spray paint.
- The Process: Cut, sand, paint, assemble – the usual DIY steps.
- Challenges: Metal cutting and dealing with the paint.
- Result: A cool, homemade Valorant trophy.
This project was a fun little adventure. It was great to get my hands dirty and create something tangible related to a game I love. Plus, it is a great conversation starter. If you are a Valorant fan and have some spare time, I say give it a go. It is a rewarding experience, and you will end up with a unique piece to show off your gaming passion!
