Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Fortnite lately, especially since the new season dropped. I really wanted to change up my computer background to match the new vibe, you know? So, I started poking around to see what I could do.
Finding the Right Image
First thing I did was just browse through a bunch of images online. I just started looking and looking. I looked through a bunch of images, but nothing really grabbed me. They were either too boring, or just didn’t feel like “Fortnite,” you know?

Then I thought, “Hey, why not just grab a screenshot from the game itself?” Genius, right? So I booted up Fortnite and started looking for cool spots in the new areas.
Getting the Perfect Shot
This was actually harder than I thought it would be. I tried a few different locations. Getting the right angle, the right lighting, and making sure there were no other players running around photobombing me… it took some time.
- I tried running around to look for a good view.
- I tried to do some building to get the right angle.
- Finally, I found a spot near this awesome new POI that looked super cool, with some really nice lighting.
I used the in-game replay feature to go back and find the perfect moment. I paused it, adjusted the camera, and bam! Got my shot.
Making it My Background
After that, it was pretty straightforward. I just took the screenshot. I saved the image, and then I just went into my computer’s settings. There, it was simple: I browsed for the picture and set it as my desktop background.
And that’s it! Now I’ve got a killer custom Fortnite background that’s totally unique and really captures the feel of the new season. It was a bit of a process, but totally worth it. If you’re thinking about doing something similar, I’d say go for it! Just be prepared to spend a little time getting that perfect shot.
