Okay, so, I’ve been on this Pokemon Go kick lately, like everyone else, right? And there’s one Pokemon I really wanted to catch: Farfetch’d. This little guy is region-locked, meaning you can only find him in certain parts of the world – specifically, East Asia.
Now, I live nowhere near East Asia. But I was determined. I started doing some serious research. First, I opened the Reddit and checked the Pokemon Go community. I wanted to know what other people’s experiences were. Then, I searched many websites and wanted to know whether there are some special events or something. There are many rumors, but I didn’t get any useful information.
So, I looked for some local Pokemon Go groups and saw some players got this Pokemon before. I sent many messages to these players and hoped they could help me. Some players replied to me and told me they got Farfetch’d during some events, but now these events were over. I was so sad, and I thought I failed.
But I didn’t give up. After all my efforts, I had a friend who had a trip to Japan last year. And guess what? He actually caught a Farfetch’d while he was there! I messaged him, and he still played Pokemon Go now! He was a really nice guy, so he was willing to trade with me.
We met up and did the trade. It cost us some stardust, but who cares, I finally got my Farfetch’d! I was so excited!
So yeah, that’s my story of how I finally caught a Farfetch’d in Pokemon Go. It took some work, some research, and a bit of luck, but I did it! If you’re trying to catch a region-locked Pokemon, don’t give up hope! You might just find a way, like I did.
