Alright, so I’ve been grinding away on League again, trying to climb that ranked ladder. And you know what the most important thing is? Figuring out who’s busted in the top lane. So, I spent the last week really digging in and trying out a bunch of different champs. Here’s the deal on how it all went down.
First Steps – The Research Phase
First, I hit up a bunch of websites and forums. You know, the usual spots where people post their opinions and tier lists. Gotta get a feel for the general consensus, right? I was seeing a lot of talk about the same few champs popping up over and over again.

Getting My Hands Dirty – Time to Play
Then, it was time to get my hands dirty. I started playing a ton of games, focusing on the top lane. I went with some of the popular picks that I saw online. Champions that were supposedly “S-tier” or “A-tier.”
- First few games were rough. I mean, even if a champ is considered strong, you still gotta know how to play ’em, right? Had a few matches where I got absolutely stomped. It was kinda humbling, to be honest.
- Started to get the hang of it. After a while, I started to figure things out. Learned the matchups, the power spikes, when to be aggressive, when to play safe. You know, the usual stuff.
- Experimenting with different builds. This was key. I didn’t just blindly follow the guides online. I tried out different item builds, different rune setups. Found some interesting combos that worked really well for my playstyle.
The Results – Who’s Actually Good?
After all that grinding, I started to form my own opinions. Some of the champs that were hyped up online? Yeah, they were strong, no doubt. But others? Not so much. Maybe they just didn’t fit my playstyle, or maybe the online tier lists were a bit off.
And then there were the underdogs. The champs that nobody was talking about. I tried a few of them out, just for fun, and guess what? Some of them were actually really good! Found a couple of hidden gems that I think are totally underrated.
The Final Verdict
So, what’s the final verdict? Well, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. It really depends on your playstyle, your skill level, and what you’re up against. But I definitely have a much better idea of who’s strong in the current meta. At least at the rank I am.
And one thing I learned that is don’t just blindly trust the tier lists you see online. Do your own research, experiment, and find what works best for you. It was fun to find out on my own.
I will share my personal tier list next time, and it’s gonna have some surprises, for sure!
