Okay, so today I messed around with “Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer Classic”, and let me tell you, it was a trip. First off, I got this buff going. You know, the one that pops up in Stormwind or Orgrimmar, depending on your side. I was hanging out in Stormwind when it kicked in, and man, did I feel pumped!
So, what did I do to get it? Here’s the deal, I started by heading to the Burning Steppes. You gotta talk to this guy, Horde Warchief’s. And I have to get the quest from him.

- Went to Burning Steppes.
- Talked to the Horde Warchief.
- Got the quest “For All To See”.
Then I flew over to Onyxia’s Lair and did the whole raid. Killed Onyxia. Looted her head. Pretty standard stuff, really. After that, it was back to Stormwind. Turned in the quest, and bam, the buff was mine.
It was cool seeing everyone else get the buff too. There’s this whole announcement that goes out, and you see people cheering and stuff. Feels like you’re part of something big, you know?
What’s the buff do?
Well, it gives you a nice little boost. I noticed my attacks were hitting harder, and spells felt stronger. It’s not game-breaking or anything, but it’s definitely noticeable. Plus, it lasts for a good two hours, so you have plenty of time to enjoy it.
After getting the buff, I decided to run some dungeons with my guild. We did a few heroic runs, and honestly, things went pretty smoothly. We took down bosses faster, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. It’s always fun to play with friends, especially when everyone’s got a little extra oomph.
Later on, I did some battlegrounds. I usually play a warrior, so the extra damage was pretty sweet. Won a few matches, lost a few. You know how it goes. But overall, it felt good to be out there, bashing heads with that buff active.
All in all, it was a pretty fun day. Getting the “Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer Classic” buff is a nice little adventure, and it’s cool to see the whole city get in on it. If you haven’t done it yet, I definitely recommend giving it a shot. It’s a classic for a reason, right?
