Okay, so, I’ve been grinding away at NBA 2K24, trying to snag all those sweet, sweet rewards. Let me tell you, it’s been a journey. Started off just messing around in MyCareer, you know, the usual rookie stuff. I created my player, a point guard with some serious handles and a decent shot, hoping to become the next big thing.
Getting Into The Game
First few games, I was just figuring things out. Getting used to the controls, the pace of the game, and all that jazz. My guy was getting benched a lot, but hey, gotta start somewhere, right? I kept at it, playing a few games every day after work, just trying to get those minutes up and improve my stats.

The Grind Begins
Then I started noticing those rewards. You get VC for pretty much everything – good plays, winning games, hitting milestones. At first, I was just using it to upgrade my player’s attributes, make him a bit faster, a better shooter. But then I saw all the other stuff you could unlock. Shoes, clothes, animations. Started getting hooked on collecting those.
MyTeam Madness
That’s when I stumbled into MyTeam. Oh boy, what a rabbit hole that is! Started opening packs, trying to build a decent squad. Pulled a few decent players, nothing too crazy, but enough to start competing online. Won some, lost some, the usual. But every game earned me something, whether it was MT points or those reward packs. I saw other players with amazing lineups, with historical players I remembered, and it made me want them.
- Daily/Weekly/Season Challenges: These things became my daily routine. Log in, check the challenges, knock them out. Some were easy, some were a real pain, but the rewards were worth it.
- Limited Time Events: These were the real deal. Special events with exclusive rewards. Had to really focus during these, playing whenever I could to make sure I didn’t miss out.
- Triple Threat/Domination: Started grinding these modes to get better cards and more MT. Domination was tough, playing against all those legendary teams. But beating them, and getting those star rewards? Felt amazing.
- Clutch Time: At first I was reluctant to try this mode, but the rewards were too attractive to ignore. After a lot of practice and getting the best out of my lineup, I started to do well in this mode, earning more rewards.
The Payoff
It’s been a few months now, and I’ve got a pretty solid MyTeam lineup. My MyCareer player is a starter, putting up some good numbers. Still haven’t gotten all the rewards, not even close. But I’ve got some cool stuff, and I’m having fun. It’s a grind, no doubt, but that’s part of the appeal, I guess. You put in the work, you see the results. Plus, it’s basketball, and I love basketball. So, yeah, that’s my 2K24 rewards journey so far. Still going strong, still chasing that next unlock. We’ll see what happens next season!
