Okay, so I’ve been grinding away in Pokémon Go, trying to get the best moves for my Pokémon. Charged TMs are super important for that, but they can be tricky to use. I spent a whole afternoon figuring this out, so let me share what I learned.
First off, I gathered up a bunch of Charged TMs. I did a lot of raids and PvP battles, and I also completed some research tasks that gave me TMs as rewards. It took a while, but I ended up with a decent stash.

Next, I decided to focus on my top-tier Pokémon. I have this killer Tyranitar that I use for raids all the time, and I wanted to make sure it had the best possible moveset. I looked up some guides online, and they all said that Stone Edge was the way to go. My Tyranitar had a different rock-type move, so I used a Charged TM to try and get Stone Edge.
- First try: No luck. It changed to a different move that I didn’t want.
- Second try: Still not Stone Edge. This was getting frustrating.
- Third try: Finally! It learned Stone Edge. That was three Charged TMs gone, but it was worth it.
I did the same thing with a few other Pokémon. My Mewtwo needed a better psychic move, so I used a couple of Charged TMs to get Psystrike. That made a huge difference in battles. I also had a Groudon that needed a good ground-type move, so I spent a few TMs to teach it Earthquake.
After all that, here’s what I realized:
- Charged TMs are random. You can’t choose the move you get, so you might need to use a bunch of them to get what you want.
- It’s best to use them on your best Pokémon. Don’t waste them on Pokémon you don’t use often.
- Look up the best movesets online. There are tons of resources that can tell you which moves are best for each Pokémon.
My Final Thoughts
Using Charged TMs can be a bit of a gamble, but it’s definitely worth it if you want to have the strongest Pokémon possible. Just make sure you’re using them wisely and focusing on the Pokémon that matter most. It took me some time and a lot of TMs, but now my team is way more powerful, and I’m crushing it in raids and PvP. Good luck with your own Charged TM adventures!
